…or Monday if you prefer. You can never go wrong with a simple made-from-scratch biscuit recipe, especially if the recipe doesn’t require milk or eggs. Perfect for anyone on a vegan cleanse diet at the moment! This recipe uses only five ingredients, and if you’re on no such restriction, feel free to drizzle melted butter and honey on top. Or ladle sausage gravy over them. I’m betting they’re great either way. To find the recipe, click here or see below.
Homemade Biscuits (No Eggs, No Dairy) from Cooks.com
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. oil or soft shortening
2/3 c. water
Mix all ingredients together. Add enough flour to knead easily. Knead on floured board about 30 seconds. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut with small cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450Β°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 15 to 20 biscuits.

I make sourdough biscuits with no egg and no dairy also — it’s good to have a few options at the ready. Thanks.

I know, I should be ashamed of myself especially after seeing your lovely biscuits, Yummy. Marion requested biscuits with Sunday dinner, meat loaf, mashed potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts. What did I do? I opened up a can of Pillsbury!!!
Shame on me. You make it sound so easy and they look simply heavenly….
Thanks for sharing…

It’s weird because what we call biscuits is what you call cookies but I’m not sure what we’d call these; they look like scones… but would scones be something different there?
Whatever they are, they look good though π
