As you can tell, I went a little crazy with the cookie icing “flooding”. But, this was only my second attempt at ever decorating cookies this way, and it’s pretty fun. More than anything, I’m glad that all the baking prepwork I did over the weekend is finally coming to fruition! I had my mother and aunt eat the Mandarin orange almond tartlets, and they were extremely happy with the taste and texture. Plus, I had some leftover crescent rolls, so I baked a couple of those, which were immediately devoured! My aunt was amazed that I made everything from scratch! Yes, I can be impressive in the kitchen when I choose to!
