Afternoon Drive Munchies: Jam Thumbprints!

My friend at 107.5 WGCI told me that because of the Labor Day weekend, a lot of the normal afternoon drive crew will be heading out early to beat the traffic rush that inevitably occurs before a three-day weekend. I wanted to start the weekend off right by bringing in some cookies before everyone left, so I made the crew some seedless raspberry jam thumbprints!

Don’t worry. I saved some for myself and even brought some to share with my law office as well. The recipe I followed is from Dorie Greenspan’s Baking cookbook, but the recipe can also be found here. Just a tip: the grinding of the hazelnuts is the most intensive part of the recipe, so feel free to do that part in advance. Happy (early) Labor Day, Afternoon Drive Crew!

Hello YummyChuncklet fans! These treats have yet to arrive at the radio station but already a fight has broken out and harsh words spoken! LOL!! Seriously, I couldn’t ask for a better friend and it helps out a ton that she is such a wonderful cook! I have had the honor of feasting with Yummy’s family for as long as I am old, so these awesome culinary delights that she turns out each and every single time is no surprise to me. She has the biggest heart and if you ever needed someone in your corner, look no further! Truly we are grateful and excited for your tasty treats and we all appreciate that you’ve included us for this epicurian ride!!!
Love, Food & Joy Always! =)

I always love that your afternoon drive munchies are always something homemade. While most of us would throw a bag of Doritos in the car, you are fighting the evil highways with lovely jam print cookies! πŸ™‚
